My name is Marcia Bench, and I designed this course especially for you.
A few years ago, I was working – unhappily – in a job as an Executive Vice President. I knew I needed to find something more fulfilling to do, and feared I’d have to leave the field I love – career development – to do it. I was introduced to a coach training program, and enrolled just in time to join the next 6-month class. I fell in love with coaching – as I’m sure you have too – and continued my study and practice of it, not sure where it would lead.
After finishing the basic program, I continued to the Master level program – and one day on the way back from a holiday with my family, it hit me: I could combine my then 15 years in the career development industry with my coach training and create the first and only program to teach career coaching as a specialty. So I did!
I founded Career Coach Institute in 2001, and since that time have trained hundreds of students in career coaching. And during that time, the coaching industry has continued to grow! So has our niche within it. Increasingly, we are approached by coaches who have had training through other schools in coaching, but still need the specific training we offer in career design and job search.
